Refund Policy

Standard refunds, business enrollments, and examination-related fees.

1. Standard Refund Policy

Food Safety Academy offers the following refund terms for individual course enrollments:

  • Full refund: Available within 7 days of purchase if the student has not accessed any course content or started any module.
  • No refund: Once the student has accessed course content, started any module, or attempted the final examination.
  • No refund: After the examination has been attempted, regardless of outcome.

2. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted by email to support@foodsafetyacademy.ca and include:

  • Student full name.
  • Account email address.
  • Order date and amount.
  • Reason for refund request.

FSA will review and respond within 5 business days.

3. Exceptions

FSA may consider refund requests outside of the standard policy in the following circumstances:

  • Documented medical emergency preventing course completion.
  • Confirmed technical failure on FSA's platform preventing course access.
  • Duplicate payment or billing error confirmed by FSA.

Exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are at FSA's discretion.

4. Business and Group Enrollments

For company or group seat purchases:

  • Unused seats may be transferred to another employee within the same company at no cost.
  • Seat transfers must be requested by the company manager through the business dashboard or by contacting support@foodsafetyacademy.ca.
  • Refunds for bulk seat purchases are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

5. Certificate and Examination Fees

  • There are no additional fees for certificate issuance or download.
  • There are no additional fees for examination retakes within the maximum 3-attempt limit.
  • Re-enrollment at the full course price is required after 3 failed examination attempts.

6. Certification and Examination Standards

The course is designed for 6+ hours of learning. The final examination uses a 70% passing score, equal to 35/50 correct answers. Students have a maximum of 3 attempts, with a 24-hour wait between attempts. Certificates are valid for 5 years, and students have free certificate access from the student dashboard during the validity period.
