Refund Policy

Food Safety Academy offers the following refund terms for individual course enrollments:

• Full refund: Available within 7 days of purchase if the student has not accessed any course content or started any module.
• No refund: Once the student has accessed course content, started any module, or attempted the final examination.
• No refund: After the examination has been attempted, regardless of outcome.

Refund requests must be submitted by email to support@foodsafetyacademy.ca and include:

• Student full name.
• Account email address.
• Order date and amount.
• Reason for refund request.

FSA will review and respond within 5 business days.

FSA may consider refund requests outside of the standard policy in the following circumstances:

• Documented medical emergency preventing course completion.
• Confirmed technical failure on FSA's platform preventing course access.
• Duplicate payment or billing error confirmed by FSA.

Exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are at FSA's discretion.

For company or group seat purchases:

• Unused seats may be transferred to another employee within the same company at no cost.
• Seat transfers must be requested by the company manager through the business dashboard or by contacting support@foodsafetyacademy.ca.
• Refunds for bulk seat purchases are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

• There are no additional fees for certificate issuance or download.
• There are no additional fees for examination retakes included in the enrollment (up to the attempt limit while access remains active).
• If course access expires before the student passes, or if all attempts are used, re-enrollment at the full course price is required to obtain a new access period.

Course study-hour, access-window, exam length, and passing-score values are set per course in the learning platform (Food Handler Certification typically requires 8+ hours of study, 30-day access, a 50-question exam with a 70% pass mark, retakes free of charge as many times as needed within the access period, and a 5-year certificate). Students have free certificate access from the student dashboard during the validity period.
